Swarthmore Bridge is strategic border-point of Little Woodhouse. Cross it from the LGI and you'll find the Swarthmore Adult Education College, a centre for lifelong learning established in the early years of the 20th century by members of the Quaker movement. Not just a well-used community space, the centre offers dozens of courses especially aimed at those who might not necessarily feel suited to 'formal' learning centres.
